7 Natural Medicinal Remedies Using Honey

  • 1 cup Aunt Sue’s Raw Honey
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger root
  • A pinch of ground ginger (optional)


  • Pour 1 cup of honey into a saucepan and add 1 tablespoon of finely chopped ginger root. You can add a small pinch of ground ginger if you’d like a stronger flavor.
  • Cook the mixture on low heat for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer to a glass jar with a tightly fitting lid and infuse for 2 hours or up to 2 weeks.
  • Strain & enjoy!

Tooth Aches

Clove Honey Spot Treatment

Even just a dull tooth ache can ruin your day, so next time you feel soreness coming on, whip up this numbing spot treatment and let cloves work their magic. Eugenol in the cloves will work to numb the pain and honey will keep bad bacteria at bay while healing any cuts or sores that may be causing pain. Dab the mixture directly on the gum by a sore tooth.


  • 1 cup Aunt Sue’s Raw Honey
  • 5-10 whole cloves


  • Add 1 cup of Sue Bee® honey and 5-10 whole cloves to a saucepan.
  • Heat on low for 10 minutes.
  • Infuse for 2 hours or up to 2 weeks in a jar with a tightly fitting lid.
  • Optional: Strain when finished.

Muscle Aches

Electrolyte Energy Juice

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cups fresh water
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons Aunt Sue’s Raw Honey, to taste


  • Toss everything in and blend until the honey is dissolved.
  • Pour yourself a tall glass, drop in a few ice cubes, and watch the soreness melt away.

  • The juice from half a lemon

  • Mix honey, lemon juice and hot water.
  • Stir well to dissolve honey.

  • Heat over low for 10 minutes, stirring well about halfway through.
  • Place in a jar and use immediately to sooth discomfort.

  • ¾ cup hot water
  • 2-4 tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar

  • ? to ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper


  • Stir all ingredients together until dissolved.
  • Sip.
