Candied Yams with Pineapple
This yam casserole with pineapple bits and a sweet topping made with pecans is a great holiday side dish.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Sue Bee® Honey
- 1 can yams
- 1 cup pecans (chopped)
- 1 can pineapple bits
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons ginger
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
Directions
- Mash yams in large bowl.
- Mix together butter, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, brown sugar and Sue Bee® honey and combine into yams.
- Drain pineapple bits and add to mixture along with 3/4 cup of pecans.
- Spread mixture into greased 2-qt. baking dish and sprinkle with remaining pecan bits.
- Bake uncovered at 325 F for 20 to 25 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
