Applesauce Honey Cake


Ingredients

CAKE

  • 1/3 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups applesauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon clover
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnuts

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Directions

CAKE

  • Preheat oven to 350 degree.
  • Mix first 5 ingredients together until smooth.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Pour batter into a 9×13-inch baking pan that has been sprayed with nonstick coating.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

  • Beat together Sue Bee® honey and cream cheese until well blended.
  • Beat in remaining ingredients.
  • Spread on cooled cake.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes our clean.
  • Cool.
  • Spread with cream cheese frosting if desired.
