Western Omelet Bake


Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 18 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups ham
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • 1 teaspoon oregano

Directions

  • 1. Beat Sue Bee® honey, eggs and milk until well blended.
  • 2. Blend in seasonings and remaining ingredients.
  • 3. Pour mixture into a 9×13 inch casserole dish and bake at 325 F for 45 to 60 minutes or until center is done.

Sue Bee® Honey Special BBQ Ribs

Ingredients

Ribs and Marinade

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 4 pounds pork spareribs
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger-root

Glaze

  • 2/3 cup Sue Bee® honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger-root

Directions

Ribs

  • Place ribs on a rack in a shallow baking pan, cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Let cool.
  • In a bowl, combine Sue Bee® Honey, broth, soy sauce, ketchup, pineapple juice, garlic, pepper and ginger. Put marinade in a 1-gallon resealable plastic bag and add ribs, turning to coat. Refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
  • While grill is cool, coat it with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Discard marinade. Grill ribs, uncovered, over medium heat 20 to 25 minutes or until heated through.

Glaze

  • In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients.
  • Brush on ribs during last 10 minutes of grilling.

Sue Bee® Honey Ham Meatballs

Ingredients

Ham Balls

  • 2 pounds ground ham
  • 2 pounds ground pork
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup crushed cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small sweet yellow pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small sweet red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

Sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups Sue Bee® honey
  • 2 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • For the ham-pork balls, mix and blend all ingredients together until all are incorporated and mixture is moist throughout.
  • Line a large baking sheet with tin foil. Form 2″ balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven 20-23 minutes. Drain fat and cool.
  • For the sauce, mix all ingredients including Sue Bee® honey together; heat and simmer 10 minutes until well-blended.
  • Place ham-pork balls into slow cooker and cover with sauce. Heat thoroughly and serve.

Sue Bee® Fluff Filling for Angel Food Cake


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 8 inches in diameter angel food cake

Directions

  • In a saucepan, heat Sue Bee® honey until thin enough to brush over cake.
  • Beat together mascarpone cheese, whipping cream and 1 tablespoon of Sue Bee® honey until light and fluffy.
  • Fold in the lemon juice.
  • Slice the cake in half horizontally.
  • Brush tops of both layers with Sue Bee® honey.
  • Spread filling on bottom layer, then place second layer on top.
  • Serve immediately or cover and chill up to 2 hours.

Aunt Sue’s® Honey Waffles

 

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Aunt Sue’s® Honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Beat eggs until foamy.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients just until smooth.
  • Pour about 1 cup of batter onto center of hot waffle iron.
  • Bake until steaming stops; about 5 minutes.

Cherry Kolaches


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Directions

  • Mix Sue Bee® honey, milk, salt and eggs together.
  • Stir in water.
  • Add yeast, oil and flour.
  • Dough will be sticky.
  • Cover and let rise 1/2 hour, then stir down.
  • Let rise until double in size.
  • Butter hands and place walnut-size balls of dough on greased cookie sheet, brush with butter and let rise until double.
  • Indent center of each ball and add tablespoon of pie filling.
  • Bake at 400 F for 10 minutes or until brown.
  • Drizzle with frosting if desired.

Apple-Cranberry Cider


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 4 cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  • Stir ingredients together and bring to a boil in a saucepan.
  • Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

Honey Pecan Rolls


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup pecans
  • 10 to 12 frozen cinnamon rolls

Directions

  • In a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, bring Sue Bee® honey, brown sugar and butter or margarine to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for one minute.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cool slightly and arrange pecans in the syrup.
  • Place thawed cinnamon rolls on top of pecan syrup mixture.
  • Cover and let rise in warm place for about 30 minutes or until about double in size.
  • Bake in center of 375 F oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown.
  • While still hot, invert baking dish on large plate.
  • 9. Let skillet remain for about 2 minutes for syrup to drizzle down.

Honey-Ginger Lassi


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
  • 2 pinches freshly grated nutmeg
  • 8 medium ice cubes

Directions

  • Combine all of the ingredients except the ice in a blender. Blend for 30 seconds to froth the milk.
  • Add the ice cubes, and blend until the ice is pulverized.
  • Pour the lassi into large glasses filled with ice, and serve.

Baby Greens With Strawberries With a Honey Poppy Seed Dressing


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts
  • 3/4 cup strawberries
  • 3 scallions
  • 1 large tomato
  • 2 celery ribs
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 6 cups baby greens
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons minced sweet onions
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seed
  • 3 tablespoons raspberry vinegar
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese

Directions

For the dressing

  • In a blender combine the first 8 ingredients until emulsified.
  • Just before serving, whisk again (or, if storing in a glass jar, shake until the dressing is emulsified). Chill while making salad.
  • Place greens in a large bowl follow with the rest of the ingredients topping the greens.

Hot Cocoa

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • In a small saucepan, combine Sue Bee® honey, cocoa and water.
  • Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until honey and cocoa are dissolved.
  • Reduce heat.
  • Stir in milk and cinnamon.
  • Continue heating until mixture is hot.
  • The amount of honey may be adjusted depending on the desired sweetness.

Honey Roasted Nuts


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 6 cups nuts (any desired combination)
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt (if using unsalted nuts)

  • Melt together Sue Bee® honey and margarine.
  • Pour over nuts and mix.
  • Spread mixture on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with seasonings.
  • Bake at 350 F for 15 to 20 minutes stirring several times until golden.
  • Spread mixture onto waxed paper and cool completely.
  • Break nuts apart and store in airtight container.

Spicy Tea Cooler


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 tea bags
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 2-1/4 cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Directions

  • Pour boiling water over tea and spices.
  • Steep for 4 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags.
  • Add Sue Bee® honey.
  • Cool.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Refrigerate.

Dark Chocolate Honey Fudge


Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 2-12 oz packages semisweet chocolate chips
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  • Butter or spray a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  • Melt chips, milk and Sue Bee® honey over medium heat in a 2-qt. saucepan, stirring constantly, just until chips are melted.
  • Do not overcook or chocolate will scorch.
  • Remove from heat and stir in nuts and vanilla.
  • Cool.
  • Cut into 2-inch pieces.
  • Store in an airtight container.
  • Makes about 1 pound of fudge.

Harvard Beets


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Sue Bee® Honey
  • 16 oz can beets
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 1/4 cup vinegar

Directions

  • Mix Sue Bee® honey, beet juice, cornstarch, salt, pepper and vinegar in saucepan.
  • Heat to boiling stirring constantly until thickened and glaze-like.
  • Add beets and heat through.

Tortilla Pinwheels


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 10 flour 10-inch tortillas
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup onion
  • 1/4 cup green peppers
  • 1 tablespoon canned chili peppers
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 small can baby shrimp

Directions

  • Beat together cream cheese, sour cream and Sue Bee® honey until smooth.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Spread equal amounts of mixture on each tortilla.
  • Roll up tortillas, place in a covered container and let set for at least 2 hours.
  • Slice in 1-inch pieces, like you would for sweet rolls, and place on a platter.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Almond Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 16 oz green beans
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® honey
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper

Directions

  • To toast almonds, place on cookie sheet and roast at 350 F for several minutes until lightly browned.
  • Do not overbake.
  • Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Continue boiling 5 to 10 minutes or until beans are tender.

Honey Glazed Snack Mix


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 4 cups Rice, Corn, Wheat Chex OR Cheerios
  • 1 1/2 cups miniature pretzels
  • 1 cup pecan
  • 1/3 cup margarine

Directions

  • In a large bowl combine cereal, pretzels and pecans.
  • In a separate bowl, microwave margarine until melted and mix in Sue Bee® honey, blending well.
  • Pour over cereal mixture and mix until well coated.
  • Spread coated mixture on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 F for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly glazed.
  • Spread on waxed paper to cool.
  • Mix will become crisp as it cools.

Chocolate Chip Glaze


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 teaspoon water

Directions

  • Mix and melt the Sue Bee® honey, chocolate chips and margarine for 45 seconds; stirring after 30 seconds.
  • Blend in water.

Baked Beans Espanol


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2-31 oz. cans baked beans
  • 1/2 cup hot salsa
  • 2 cups sharp cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Directions

  • Combine Sue Bee® honey, onion, pepper, garlic, beans and salsa in a casserole dish.
  • Combine cheese, crumbs and seasonings; spoon over bean mixture.
  • Bake uncovered at 350 F until mixture is hot and top is browned; about 45 minutes.
