Honeyed Carrots With Cumin


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 48 cut baby carrots

Directions

  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together all ingredients except carrots.
  • Bring to a boil over high heat. Add carrots, stir and reduce heat to medium.
  • Cook, stirring frequently, until most of the liquid has evaporated and carrots are tender, 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature.
  • Serve, room temperature, in a bowl with toothpicks on the side.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Spread


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • warm biscuits or toast

  • In a microwave safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and butter and microwave uncovered on high until melted – about 1-2 minutes .
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Add Sue Bee® honey, jam and syrup.
  • Mix well and spread over warm biscuits or toast.

Peanut Butter Popcorn


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1/2-1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • Large bowl of popped popcorn

Directions

  • Boil Sue Bee® honey and margarine together to soft ball stage.
  • Add peanut butter; stir well.
  • Pour mixture over large bowl of popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
  • Store in a covered container.

Honeyed Pineapple


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee ® Honey
  • 1 pineapple

Directions

  • Peel the pineapple, cut into 4 wedges, and slice off and discard the core from each piece.
  • Cut each section into narrower wedges or triangles.
  • The pineapple triangles can be threaded onto skewers.
  • Put the pineapple in a glass or stainless steel bowl.
  • 5. Coat it with the honey.
  • Let it rest for at least 15 minutes or up to several hours.
  • Preheat the broiler.
  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper or foil coated with nonstick spray.
  • Place the pineapple on the baking pan, then put it under the broiler.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes, until the edges turn light brown.
  • Turn thick pieces once during cooking, using long-handled metal tongs.

Orange Yogurt


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup good Sue Bee® honey
  • 4 cups plain yogurt
  • raisins raisins
  • orange zest orange zest
  • 1 orange
  • 1/3-1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 orange, zest of
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Directions

  • Line a sieve or colander with cheesecloth or paper towels and suspend it over a bowl. Pour the yogurt into the sieve and allow it to drain, refrigerated, for 3 hours or overnight.
  • Place the thickened yogurt into a medium bowl and stir in the Sue Bee® honey, raisins, walnuts, vanilla and orange zest. Thin with orange juice until it is a desirable consistency.
  • Garnish with sections of orange, orange zest, raisins, or walnuts and serve. Enjoy!

Peachy Keen Smoothies


Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Sue Bee® honey
  • 1 cup frozen peaches
  • 1 (8 ounce) container vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup skim milk

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in blender.
  • Blend, until will mixed.
  • Pour into glasses.

Strawberry Yogurt Shakes


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® honey
  • 1 (16 ounce) carton plain yogurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • 1/4 cup toasted wheat germ
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 dash salt

Directions

  • Process all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  • Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.

Honey Raspberry Iced Tea


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® honey
  • 2 cups freshly brewed tea
  • 2 cups cranberry-raspberry juice

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a large, heat-proof pitcher.
  • Whisk mixture until honey is dissolved.
  • Chill until ready to serve.
  • To serve, pour tea into ice-filled glasses.

Banana Smoothie


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Sue Bee® honey
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons wheat germ
  • 2 cups milk
  • ground nutmeg ground nutmeg

Directions

  • Put the bananas in a blender or food processor.
  • Add the Sue Bee® honey, yogurt, wheat germ, milk and nutmeg.
  • Process or blend until smooth.
  • Taste before serving and add more Sue Bee® honey if you like.

Green Tea Lemonade


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® honey
  • 4 cups brewed green tea
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Ice
  • 4 lemon wedges

Directions

  • In a pitcher, combine Sue Bee® honey, green tea and lemon juice. Add ice and garnish with lemon wedge.

Kiwi Pear Smoothie

 

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sue Bee® honey
  • 8 ounces plain yogurt
  • 1 cup pear
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup ice cube
  • 6 green kiwi fruits

Directions

  • 1. Combine Sue Bee® honey, yogurt, pears and banana in a blender. Pulse until smooth and blended.
  • 2. Add ice cubes one at a time and process until smooth.
  • 3. Slice kiwi fruit into halves and spoon fruit into the blender with the rest of the smoothie. Pulse until just blended.

Warm Cinnamon-Orange Cider


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Sue Bee® honey
  • 32 ounces apple cider
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons red cinnamon candies
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons whole allspice

Directions

  • 1. Heat apple cider, orange juice, candies and allspice to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  • 2. Remove allspice. Stir in Sue Bee® honey. Serve warm.

Berry Nice Smoothie


Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup frozen sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup 2% low-fat milk
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • whipped topping

Directions

  • Combine Sue Bee® honey, frozen blueberries, frozen strawberries, yogurt and milk in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into glasses and add fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries and whipped topping for garnish.

Blender Breakfast

 

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Sue Bee® honey
  • 1 banana
  • nectarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp natural bran

Directions

  • Combine Sue Bee® honey, banana, milk and bran in blender or food processor.
  • Whirl until smooth.
  • Pour into tall glass.

Garlic Tea


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

Directions

  • In a saucepan, bring 3 cups of water and the 3 cloves of garlic to a boil. Turn off heat when the water boils. Add 1/2 cup Sue Bee® honey and 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice. Strain.
  • Refrigerate extra to use the next day.

Hot Peanut Butter Chocolate


Ingredients

  • 3-5 tablespoons Sue Bee® honey
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted creamy peanut butter

Directions

  • Combine Sue Bee® honey, milk, cocoa powder and vanilla in a 2 quart saucepan. Heat to medium high, stirring vigorously with a wire whisk to incorporate the cocoa powder.
  • Add the peanut butter and stir again with the whisk to mix completely. Heat to desired temperature.
  • Pour into mugs.

Fruit Blast Sage Iced Tea


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sue Bee® honey
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups chopped rhubarb
  • 1 cup pitted red tart cherries
  • 1/4 cup packed fresh sage leaf
  • 4 small tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • lemon slice

Directions

  • Place water, rhubarb and cherries in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Cover pan, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
  • Strain mixture through a sieve, pressing fruit – fruit should be cooked to a pulp.
  • Discard pressed fruit pulp.
  • Return strained mixture to the saucepan and heat until it just starts to boil.
  • Add tea bags, fresh sage and balsamic vinegar.
  • Allow to steep away from heat, covered, for 6-8 minutes.
  • Strain mixture, removing sage and tea bags.
  • When slightly cool, place 5 cups cold water into a pitcher and add tea.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup Sue Bee® honey until it dissolves.
  • Serve tea on ice, garnished with a lemon slice, if desired.

Just Peachy Smoothie


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Sue Bee® honey
  • 1 (8 ounce) raspberry low-fat yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups peach slices in juice
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup ice

Directions

  • Combine Sue Bee® honey, yogurt, peaches, milk and vanilla in blender.
  • Add crushed ice and process until smooth.

Honey Butter Tomato and Cream Cheese with Granola


Ingredients

For Filling

  • 2 tablespoons Sue Bee® Honey
  • 10-12 cherry tomatoes, washed
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

For Crumble

  • 1/2 cup granola, coarsely crushed
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cold

Directions

  • Cut cherry tomatoes into half. Dice cream cheese small.
  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add Sue Bee® honey and sugar to the skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low heat, stir to melt sugar and simmer until lightly thickened.
  • Add tomatoes to the skillet and simmer for about 3 minutes tossing to coat occasionally.
  • Put the honey-butter, tomato and cream cheese into two ramekins evenly. Stir until combined.
  • Make the crumble by mixing together granola, all-purpose flour and butter in a bowl until crumbly.
  • Put the crumble on the filling and bake in preheated 375 F oven for 8-10 minutes until the filling is bubbling.

Ricotta and Honey Sandwich


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Sue Bee® Honey
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 3 tablespoons ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

  • Lightly toast bread until golden.
  • Spread ricotta cheese on slice of toast; drizzle with Sue Bee® honey.
  • Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top of ricotta and Sue Bee® honey.
  • Top with the other slice of toast.
